Photo of old growth mountain ash, looking east from near the top of Spanish Head in Oregon. Taken on the evening before the 2017 solar eclipse with some interesting cloud formations. A Forest Service employee who was also there to view the eclipse and whose job it was/is to survey the various tree species on the Deschutes National Forest said that the mountain ash on Spanish Head were the oldest ones he's seen in the areas in Oregon he's been.
