Horses grazing at the base of Abert Rim. Abert Rim is covered in chartreuse lichen and the sun is highlighting an area of the rim above the horses. The sun was behind some clouds in the late afternoon and there was a ray peeking through the clouds alighting on some of the amazing lichen on top of the rim.

I love nature and spending time in it. I love how taking photographs keeps me in the present moment. I love where photography takes me - the trails, vistas, mountains, valleys, back roads, and into the macro world where I see details I don't notice with my naked eye. I also enjoy traveling and seeing new places and capturing them with my camera. This, and what the quotes below speak to, is why I love photography.
